Everything You Need to Grow Your Business

Description

This is a basic follow up postcard by Growmail to reengage with their customers. They make sure to show that they can help your business in a variety of ways with some useful examples on the postcard. The text and design gets right to the point, however we would like to see somewhat of an offer being made or some personalization.

***

One of the most fascinating things about postcard marketing is that they don't have to be perfect to convert. However, most postcards could always be better (this is one of them).

Copywriting

There is not a whole lot of material in terms of copywriting on the front of this card. They welcome the customer and breakdown the different ways they can help a business grow. The "Welcome" section is a great spot to add some personalization to this postcard. We would suggest something like : "Hi {insert business owner name}, welcome to Growmail!"

Design

The colors are simple but do not add much value to the postcard. The design does a good job of showcasing examples of how Growmail can help grow a business with their print, mail, and digital abilities.

The highlighted "to grow your business" helps draw attention to the value add of Growmail and entices the reader to learn more.

Offer

There is no clear call to action or offer at all on the front of this postcard. Welcoming someone to your company is generally not enough to get them to take the next steps to learn more and engage with the brand.

It lists the ways that they can help grow a business but there is no next step. This would have been a great opportunity to add in an offer such as a percentage off or certain value off pieces off print.

Key Takeaways
  • Make sure to include a call to action so that the reader is motivated to take the next steps
  • Using images that correspond with the text help increase the validity of your claims
  • Having information on the card can only take you so far without an offer
Description

This matches the feel of the front while going into some more detail about what Growmail can offer. They also make an attempt to make the message seem more personal with the picture and "signature" of what we presume to be a Growmail representative.

The headline makes sure to backup what is said on the front, but with the paragraph format and amount of whitespace, we are not sure this was the best way to go about it.

Copywriting

The copy on this side makes an attempt at sounding sincere and somewhat personal. If they were able to include the customer's name or the specific representative the customer interacted with, this would go a long way.

However, they do a good job of expanding on the points on the front side of the postcard and getting their point across.

Offer

Again, Growmail is lacking any kind of offer on this side of the post card as well. They seem to be leaving the ball inthe customer's court to reach out to them after they listed their capabilities.

Growmail could have included an incentive to reach out by a certain date such as: "Call by XYZ date for 10% off any creative pieces." Instead there is no motivation for the customer to reach out.
