Description

This would have been a perfect card to implement some personalization into. The target market is probably all business owners that they may already have on file. Just insert their first name in front of "need tabs". The imagery doesn't seem to align with anything, but we guess it's more interesting than anything else related to a mailing supplies business.

One of the most fascinating things about postcard marketing is that they don't have to be perfect to convert. However, most postcards could always be better (this is one of them).

The simplicity is nice. They don't  need to explain their product becuase everyone already uses them. What they could have done is add the business owner's name in front of need tabs. That probably would have made big difference.

Design

This is about as simple as it gets folks. Image, two word headline, and logo. We will never criticize simplicity, but what's up with the imagery? We know mailers HAVEN has a palm tree in the logo. Does that mean a white sand beach compliments mailer tabs? No. No it does not.

One thing that may be helpful for on this design is a bright printed sticker showing an offer. We know that is typical and a bit cheap looking, but it's better than not having anything. Let's say you have a mailer who doesn't need tabs so they throw out this postcard without flipping to the back. What if they weren't previously on the market for tabs, but saw a great deal you were offering and decided to act on it by flipping to the back and following your call to action.

Offer

NA

Key Takeaways
  • Use imagery that either supports your offer/promotion or brand. This makes it seem like we will be entered into a raffle for a two week getaway with a plus one.
Description

This is very technical but considering the target audience it works. The call to action could be a lot stronger and there should be an expiration date.

Copywriting

Nothing special about this copy. Everything is clear except for the expiration date. The earn rewards section could be made a lot better. A line saying, "Every purchase counts towards free rewards. {list a couple of the biggest prizes in bullet form}".

Offer

Again, this is a technical design and offer but it works for the target audience. There should be an expiration date to drive urgency and a clearer call to a action. Don't just sandwich the link and number in there. Highlight it, give it a contrasting color, make sure it cannot be missed.
